    Battery alerts can be found in the Dealer Toolbox and the Connect app. Battery alerts notify the customer of alarming battery status....

  • Battery alerts notify the customer of alarming battery status. The Ikon system routinely checks the vehicle’s battery condition when the vehicle reports its telematics data. Battery condition is rated as “GOOD”, “WARNING” or “LOW”. If a vehicle’s battery voltage results in a “WARNING” or “LOW” status, Ikon will notify the customer via email, SMS text message, or in-app push notification (based on the Consumer’s preference). For dealers, this is a vital tool, allowing them to check the battery status of their vehicles on their lot every morning. They can replace any that need it before customers even walk through the door. There’s nothing worse than having your heart set on test driving a specific vehicle and finding out the battery is dead or test driving it, parking it, looking at it, and trying to start it back up to no avail.

    CARFAX information can be found in the Dealer Toolbox and the Connect app. This information is a section of the (dealer or consumer) customer’s mobile application....

  • CARFAXTM information is a section of the (dealer or consumer) customer’s mobile application. This section provides a specific vehicle’s historical information according to CarfaxTM, the leading vehicle history report provider. CarfaxTM data includes accident, title/ownership, business/personal ownership, location of last ownership, and odometer information, among many other data points. Providing this trusted third-party in a handy mobile app builds dealer trust and helps customers feel like they are making an informed purchase decision.
  • Connect Feature: Locate Now
    Locate Now allows dealers/customers to see the last reported location of a vehicle with an Ikon device installed. Locate Now can be found in the Dealer Toolbox and the Connect app....

  • Locate Now allows customers to see the last reported location of the Ikon device installed in the vehicle. The dealer/customer can perform vehicle locate requests via a mobile phone application or online web account (listed above).

    Location information appears in an easy-to-follow screen online or in the phone app. The vehicle’s location is then identified as a pin on Google Maps, choosing satellite, street, or hybrid views. Additional information will detail the vehicle year/make/model, battery condition, GPS latitude and longitude, speed alerts, date/time stamp, street, city, zip code, and last network access.

    The dealer/customer may refresh the vehicle location data by simply clicking the “Locate Now” button again. This can be useful if the customer needs to know the vehicle's current location immediately. This helps dealers in locating a car quickly that a customer wishes to test drive or look at. Customers have walked away if they can’t get to see a certain car right away.

    Geofences are boundaries or geographical areas set by the dealer/customer. Should the vehicle enter or exit a geofenced boundary, Ikon Technologies will notify the customer....

Customers have found this crucial when an elderly parent, having Alzheimer’s takes off in the car and possibly gets lost. This device has been used to track the car and the parent, so they can be found safely.
    The customer may create, view, and edit multiple Geofences using either the Ikon online web account or mobile application. To create a Geofence, customers must log into their (web or mobile app) account and specify a location by drawing a multipoint geofence or selecting a circular radius around the geographic location.

  • Safety information is a section of the dealer or customer’s mobile application. This section provides the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) safety information for a particular year/make/model vehicle selected from the Inventory section. Providing safety information in a handy mobile app ensures that trusted third-party information helps the customer make an informed decision toward the purchase of a car. The buyer can be more assured with the safety of the vehicle by being able to gather pertinent information.

  • Speed Alert
    Speed alerts can be found in the Dealer Toolbox and the Connect app. Speed Alert notifies the customer if the vehicle has been operated above a user-specified speed....

  • Speed Alert notifies the customer if the vehicle has been operated above a user-specified speed. Parents can use this feature to monitor the speed at which their children are driving. Every day passing and merging into traffic have been considered and will not trigger false positive alerts. To create a Speed Alert, customers must log in to their (web or mobile app) account and specify a speed threshold. If the vehicle is driven above that threshold, Ikon Technologies will notify the customer via email, SMS text message, or in-app notification (based on the customer’s preference).

  • Stolen Mode
    Stolen Mode is an invaluable tool available 24x7 to dealers/customers online or via a mobile device. Activating Stolen Mode allows dealers/customers to send a link of a vehicle’s location to law enforcement when the car is missing or stolen....

  • Stolen Mode allows dealers/customers to send a link of a vehicle’s location to law enforcement when their car is missing or stolen. The customer creates a “Stolen Mode” request via a mobile phone application or online web account. Once enacted, “Stolen Mode” will share the vehicle locations with the investigating law enforcement officer for 72 hours. After 72 hours, the notification times out and the law enforcement officer no longer has access to the vehicle's location.

    In addition, Ikon offers a unique benefit when the stolen mode is activated, called Vehicle Theft Protection Program If the car is not recovered, this program kicks in and offers a one-time benefit of up to $10,000 that can be used to cover rental reimbursement or alternative transportation up to $500, $1000 toward a deductible or a $3500 credit toward a new vehicle if you return to the original dealership where the car was purchased.

    Trip History enables dealers/customers to view the past drives a vehicle has taken over a period of time, triggered by ignition starts and stops. Trip History can be found in the Dealer Toolbox and the Connect app....

  • Trip History enables customers to view (and modify views by date, time, etc.) the past drives the vehicle has taken, triggered by ignition starts and stops. Trips are sorted by day/week/month, and multiple trips can be displayed within one day. Location pings appear on a (web or mobile app) map, enabling the customer to view where the vehicle was driven and where it was located at a specific point in time. These location pings are also known as “breadcrumbs,” allowing the customer to see each waypoint of their trip and route taken.

    The customer can modify the search of their “Trip History” and view them according to desired date/time. Key data fields include a Google Map view of all trips taken, route and location pin overlayed on a Google map, point-to-point distance traveled, and top speed reached during each trip.
