FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – December 11, 2019 – MAHLE Service Solutions has announced a new TechPRO unit designed specifically for use at General Motors (GM) dealerships to diagnose non-GM makes and models. The new GM TechPRO® works seamlessly with existing GM dealership computers and diagnostic hardware.
GM TechPRO® is an advanced and versatile diagnostic scan tool that can analyze, diagnose and repair today’s most sophisticated vehicles faster and more accurately than ever before. This new product, launched on November 1, 2019, is an exclusive version of the industry-leading TechPRO® diagnostic scan tool, custom-engineered for GM dealerships, to support the diagnosis and repair of most non-GM make and model vehicles. A full list of vehicle coverage for GM TechPRO® can be accessed at this link. Additional vehicle coverage is added monthly.
Designed with GM technicians in mind, the GM TechPRO® software effortlessly integrates with pre-existing GM Techline computers that meet GM PC specifications, plus the MDI or MDI 2 hardware. No additional hardware purchases are required.
“We are very excited to bring the lightning fast speed and accuracy of TechPRO® to the service technicians at General Motors dealerships,” said Rich Wolf, general manager, MAHLE Service Solutions. “Every second spent working on a vehicle is valuable, and by making TechPRO® technology part of its diagnostic protocol, General Motors is supporting its repair professionals, helping them to work as efficiently as possible."
To get GM TechPRO® into the hands of technicians, GM dealerships need only purchase one software license yearly, at $695.00. That license covers every technician at the dealership, providing outstanding value with no add-on costs or system integration to interrupt workflow or service.
Years of research and development, focus groups and a time-tested relationship with the technicians, shop owners and automotive service professionals who use this technology have allowed MAHLE Service Solutions to continue to invent and reinvent, adapting best-selling products to serve the ever-changing automotive repair marketplace.
